Chatham board approves routine agenda, personnel and policy items; accepts a nearly $5,000 PTO donation

At its public meeting the School District of the Chathams Board of Education moved and approved a series of routine agenda items and action bundles by roll-call votes recorded as 5–0.
A motion to approve the minutes of the Oct. 13 public session was made and seconded; the board approved the minutes 5–0. The board then moved and passed personnel agenda items A1–A23 (passed 5–0) and action-item bundle B1–B20 (passed 5–0). Curriculum items C1–C5 were approved on a separate motion (passed 5–0).
Policy actions were presented by Mister Ryan; the board voted to adopt item D1, which included the violence and vandalism policy and an attendance policy updated to meet a cited requirement (referred to in the transcript as 'CUSAC'). Roll call was recorded with members responding in the affirmative and the policy vote passed 5–0.
During action-item discussion the board chair noted a donation from the Lafayette School PTO of nearly $5,000 to purchase library furniture. The transcript records gratitude for the PTO’s support; the donation was included in the action-item bundle approved by the board.
