Street superintendent resigns; city to post combined street/drainage role

Neosho — Council was notified on Oct. 6 that Street Superintendent Mr. Seiler has submitted his notice. Public Works staff said they will post the position, combining street superintendent and drainage supervisor responsibilities, and update the job description prior to recruitment.
Staff noted that if Missouri American Water or PSC decisions affect operations, it may be appropriate to separate drainage responsibilities from the street superintendent role in the future; for now the city will advertise for a combined position and pursue applicants.
Council expressed appreciation for Mr. Seiler and the city will proceed with recruitment and job‑description updates. No personnel actions beyond the posting were taken at the meeting.
