Neosho — Staff told the council on Oct. 6 that the 57th annual Neosho Fall Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4 in downtown Neosho, has 279 vendors registered as of the final application day, up from 243 last year. Staff said sponsorships totaling $16,175 (in-kind and monetary) have been secured to support the event.
Details to be posted on the city’s Fall Festival web page include a vendor map, main-stage schedule and vendor list; staff said the square will be blocked at 2 p.m. on Oct. 3 for vendor move-in and police will provide overnight detail for security. Staff noted children’s activities and other programming and said advertising and social posts will be updated as final details are confirmed.
Council received the update and offered brief congratulatory remarks; no formal council action was associated with the report.
