The Housing Trust Fund Commission approved several contract amendments and extensions that staff said respond to redesigns, permit and infrastructure delays, and scope changes.
Urban Housing Solutions: Staff described an amendment and extension for a Round 10 award originally for $2.1 million to construct 13 units; redesigns prompted a request for an extension and a scope change that will allow tracking of five additional non-Barnes units. Jayla moved to approve the amendment; Anton seconded. A commissioner announced an abstention prior to the vote; the chair announced the motion carried.
Habitat for Humanity: Staff recommended a 12-month extension on a Round 10 grant of $1,980,000 to address site and infrastructure delays (NES work, weather, pandemic impacts and Metro review). The project has had two draws (one over $200,000 and another over $675,000). The commission approved the extension; the record notes one abstention.
Woodbine Community Organization: Staff recommended an extension and a change to the draw schedule for a Round 10 award of $2,470,000 to build 182 homes. The amendment allows additional predevelopment draws not exceeding 25% of the grant. Finance is closed and construction has begun; the commission approved the amendment.
Meeting minutes show motions were made and seconded for each item (movers and seconders named in the record where available); the chair announced each motion carried. The record does not include a member-by-member vote tally for these items.
