The Neosho City Council approved several routine items during its meeting, recording unanimous votes on each.
Consent and routine approvals included the consent agenda (10 items), a purchase and installation of two AVK EZ valves for an ADA sidewalk project on Fuller Street (approx. $11,009.96), surplus declaration for legacy police radar equipment (to be traded toward replacements), and a resolution authorizing destruction of city records that have met retention requirements. Council also approved an irrevocable consent to annex at 14362 Kodiak Road so the owner may connect to city water now; staff clarified the consent obligates the owner to annex voluntarily if and when the property becomes contiguous and compact but does not automatically annex the parcel today.
Staff also notified council of a federal disaster declaration (DR-4876) for the April 29 storms and said the city will pursue eligible recovery for losses not covered by other sources. All listed motions were approved by recorded voice/roll call as 7-0.
