Neosho โ The Neosho City Council approved a special-use permit for a used-car lot at 1013 South Neosho Boulevard that the petitioner said will operate as Rawlings Auto Sales (also referenced as Rawlings Auto Center).
Planner/petitioner representative (speaker 12) said the property is currently zoned C-2, lies across from King Foodsaver and was previously used as a car lot (the site of Hartland Motors). The petitioner requested a special-use permit rather than full rezoning to C-3; the representative said the request covers the single building and the parking area in front of it, not the property behind it.
Councilmember (speaker 7) moved to approve the permit; the motion was seconded and adopted by a 7โ0 vote. The petitioner was present in the audience during the discussion.
Next steps: staff will issue the permit consistent with the special-use conditions and applicable zoning rules.
