On zoning and permits, the council approved Ordinance 25‑30 (formerly Bill 65‑06) to expand a Clean Earth landfill at several Missouri Bottom Road addresses after removing the item from the table and passing it unanimously. Ordinance 25‑31 (Bill 65‑08) to permit a reception hall and liquor sales at 11977 Saint Charles Rock Road and Ordinance 25‑32 (Bill 65‑09) to allow an adult daycare at 10937 Saint Charles Rock Road also passed unanimously. By contrast, Bill 65‑07, a special‑use permit for outdoor seating at 12334 Natural Bridge Road, failed on the council floor after discussion and an eventual roll‑call vote.
The council adopted its annual tax levy (Bill 65‑10) as Ordinance 25‑33 after an amendment to the proposed valuations and rates was moved during council discussion; the final vote was 8–0.
Council approved a new liquor‑by‑the‑drink license for El Mariachi Loco Cantina, congratulating the applicant at the meeting.
Several procurement and contract items were introduced for first reading and tabled for later review. Those included Bill 65‑11, an agreement with John Knoll Construction for concession‑stand renovations at the municipal athletic complex (estimated $227,915); Bill 65‑12, an amendment to the communications and care services agreement with Saint Louis County; and Bill 65‑13, an agreement with Hot House Digital for social‑media services. Council members said they would return to those items after further review and materials.
Council also used the meeting for a community recognition: the body presented a proclamation honoring GoJet Airlines’ 20‑year presence in Bridgeton and heard brief staff reports on upcoming community events.
The council adjourned after routine communications and staff updates. The items tabled will return to a future agenda for further deliberation.
