Smithville consolidates CIP carryovers of about $2.3M; water station work progresses

Member 1 said the consolidation involved coordination with staff (Madeline, Chuck and Myra) over the prior month and a half. The list presented removes projects tied to recent 2025 issuances so only the net carryover amount impacts the FY26 budget figures.
Separately, Members 4 and 3 provided an update on a water station construction effort: shoring has been completed, pipe has been installed on both sides of I-69, main line footage has been laid behind adjacent businesses and pumps are in place. Members said crews are moving forward, though short-term operational status depends on continued work and testing.
The board accepted the CIP carryover reporting and the construction update and incorporated the carryover figures into the FY26 discussion of reserves and budget prioritization; staff was asked to include the consolidated CIP list in the recommended budget materials.
