The Peculiar City board convened a special meeting at 06:30. After the pledge of allegiance and roll call, the board welcomed new members Karen Garrison and Mike Bares.
A motion to approve the meeting agenda was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote. The board likewise moved, seconded and approved the minutes from the prior meeting. The meeting proceeded to new business, where Mister Shepherd provided an operational update for the police department and city initiatives.
Board members discussed operational support, including volunteers to drive vehicles to upfitters and to staff booths at the Harvest Moon Festival downtown on Oct. 25; Shepherd said the Chamber of Commerce runs the festival with the city as a top sponsor. Several members volunteered to help. The board closed with a motion to adjourn that was seconded and approved by voice vote.
No ordinances, resolutions requiring a recorded roll‑call vote, or formal policy adoptions were made at this meeting.
