On Sept. 9 the Carson City School District Board of Trustees voted to adopt revisions to CCSD Policy 5.4.6 governing electronic-device usage and approved the consent agenda.
Brandon Bringhurst introduced the second reading of proposed changes to policy 5.4.6 and reported there were no changes since the first reading. Trustees suggested a minor wording change (replace "tools" with "resources"). Trustee Walker moved to accept the policy with the noted revision; Trustee Barnard seconded. With no board discussion and no public comment, the motion carried on a voice vote.
Earlier in the meeting the board also approved the consent agenda on a motion by Trustee Walt and second by Trustee Walker, again with no discussion or public comment.
The votes were recorded as voice votes during the meeting and the board took no further action beyond the approvals.
