Board approves multiple bids: server-room cooling, park projects and Nyman property cleanup

Parks: Environmental Services presented bids for Springvale County Park parking expansion and for demolition and debris removal on the recently accepted Nyman property (new Isanti County Park). The low bid for the parking expansion came from DW Companies LLC at approximately $80,450; the low bid to demo and remove debris from the Nyman site was DW Companies LLC at $46,500. Staff said bids were below engineer estimates and described procedures to document recyclable materials on-site so the county could seek SCORE-fund reimbursement for recyclable weight. The board approved both low bids.
Legal/procurement: The board also authorized soliciting bids for the county’s primary CHIPS (court-appointed) attorney contract, which will be a one-year contract with an option to extend two years, after staff said the current contract holder is becoming a member of the bench in Isanti County. The solicitation was approved by motion and vote.
All awards were approved by majority or unanimous votes as recorded in the meeting minutes.
