During the school report the superintendent introduced three Wildcats of the Month for January and February, naming students and outlining accomplishments in athletics, fine arts, volunteer activities and academic organizations. Grady McGirt was recognized for involvement in musical productions and community volunteering and plans to attend The Ohio State University to study finance; Zachary Kendrick and another student were also introduced with summaries of their extracurricular participation and future plans.
The superintendent described the recognition as one of his favorite parts of board meetings and invited students' parents to stand; attendees applauded. The superintendent also noted recent school events, including a special-persons dance with more than 350 attendees.
