Commissioners recognize Reeves Center—or 10 years of South Side services

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners recognized the Reeves Center on Tuesday for 10 years of community service on Columbus—ast/South Side neighborhoods.
Vanessa Mora, speaking for the Reeves Center, said the facility has evolved into a crisis hub: she reported 49,000 visits last year across partner services and 5,500 individual clients served, with many residents facing eviction, imminent housing loss or tax delinquency. Mora said the center now needs expanded case-management and social-worker capacity to meet growing demand.
Ali Zaller, introduced as a Reeves Center leader, noted the organization's growth from one staff member at opening to 11 frontline staff today and thanked county leaders for their partnership. Commissioners praised the center's model and highlighted local champions who helped launch the project.
Commissioners used the recognition to underscore the county's broader investment in poverty-alleviation and partnership with community-based organizations.
