Commissioners to host community mental health summit May 19

County officials announced a community mental health summit scheduled for May 19 at the Columbus Convention Center. The event, led by the commissioners and organized under Commissioner Boyse’s leadership, will include a youth-focused morning session (9 a.m.–1 p.m.) aimed at young people and seniors, and an afternoon/evening general session (3 p.m.–8 p.m.) with breakout sessions, resource tables and guest speakers.
Commissioners said the summit will connect attendees to mental-health resources and clinicians and emphasized registration to manage limited seating. Event organizers estimated about 600 youth and 300 seniors may attend the morning sessions and said they will issue a registration link in the coming days.
