Delaware County commissioners approve grants, infrastructure projects and reissue ADA website RFP

Delaware County commissioners on Sept. 15 approved a package of routine resolutions that included awards from the county’s community enhancement grant program, a personnel appointment to the county transit board, the rejection and reissuance of proposals tied to an Americans with Disabilities Act website compliance project, and multiple infrastructure and contract actions.
Jane Haas, the county’s director of communications, told commissioners that the 2025 community enhancement grant round drew 223 applications seeking $512,575. "We have been able to allocate a total of $224,966 to 13 recipients, and we recommend your approval," Haas said. Commissioners praised the program and the committee that reviewed applications; the board approved Resolution No. 25-748.
The board also filled a vacancy on the Delaware County Transit Board after a member moved out of the county. Staff recommended appointing Forrest Wilson to the seat; commissioners described Wilson as having private-sector experience with Shelley Construction and voted to approve Resolution No. 25-749.
