Commissioners discussed outreach plans, site visits and the potential for small transitional uses such as townhomes or higher‑density residential where appropriate.
Separately, staff noted that the city clerk has been using AI tools to assist in condensing minutes; commissioners discussed both useful applications of AI and concerns about errors and accuracy when the technology is used as a drafting tool.
Next steps: staff will circulate scheduling details for the open house(s), coordinate site visits and begin work on NAICS code updates for future work sessions.
