Olia Village: council hears update; site plans expected in about 60 days

City staff updated the Creve Coeur City Council on Olia Village development progress and on related advisory appointments.
Staff said developers are continuing to finalize leasing agreements with a lead tenant and that the city expects site development plan submittals in roughly 60 days. The developer anticipates some clearing in the buffer area and has started construction on a previously permitted retaining wall; residents had asked staff about measurements of the retaining wall relative to the property line. Staff responded that the city ordinance permits retaining walls to be constructed within buffer areas and that aerial measurements can appear larger than ground measurements; staff and the developer will continue to communicate with residents about placement and landscaping.
Council also moved to appoint advisory representatives to the CID and TDD to ensure council representation at related meetings. The council indicated that at least one council representative or staff will attend CID and TDD meetings as advisory members.
The council received the update and approved advisory appointments as described.
