The Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission voted Jan. 21 to recommend City Council approval of a condominium plat for Lot 2 of Westchase Shops (10901 Olive Boulevard).
Director of Community Development Jason Jaggi described the plat as creating two condominium units — the bank as Unit 1 and the retail component as Unit 2 — with shared parking and common elements. Staff asked the applicant to revise the drawing to clearly mark common areas (such as shared parking) and to require the city attorney review any future amendments to the condominium declaration to protect the city's interests on maintenance and assessments.
Property owner and developer David Huttgen told the commission he owns the property and will submit the requested clarifications on the plat and declaration. "I'm totally happy... that we didn't provide some of the more identifying marks on the plat, and, obviously, we're gonna take care of that," Huttgen said.
A motion to recommend the plat to City Council, subject to the staff conditions, was approved on a voice/roll call vote. The ordinance and final plat will be recorded following council action and submittal of the revised documents.
