Council approves supplemental design work for Conway Park pocket wetland

The council unanimously approved Resolution 1765 on Jan. 6 to authorize a supplemental agreement with Intuition & Logic Engineering for design work on a pocket wetland at Conway Park, not to exceed $13,215.
Steve Perez said staff requested additional scope from the consultant to produce two alternates — a pocket wetland design and a dredging option — and to coordinate with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MWRD) on permit and feasibility questions. Perez said the alternate approach could be more cost effective, possibly saving roughly $500,000 compared with other designs.
The change increases the contract by the stated supplemental amount; the total contract value cited in the presentation was approximately $5,353,725 after the addition. Council members had no objection and the resolution passed unanimously.
