Council President Foster read the proposed consent agenda and legislation slated for the June 17 meeting and invited members to flag items for separate discussion.
Consent agenda highlights included acknowledgement of the May 2025 monthly financial report; directing the clerk to notify the Ohio Division of Liquor Control of no hearing request for a stock permit for Hudfar, LLC (dba Faranacci Pizza); a resolution authorizing the city manager to advertise for bids and enter a contract for a Heinen's parking lot exit relocation; a resolution to accept a state grant for an ADA‑accessible kayak ramp (Council thanked Senator Roegner for securing the capital fund grant); and a resolution to contract with GPD Group for the Oak Grove Inclusive Playground design, declared an emergency.
On proposed legislation, council previewed ordinance 25‑90 to license and regulate landscape companies, ordinance 25‑91 to amend codified ordinance section 672.02 to comply with state law, and a first reading resolution to continue operation and regulate a Downtown Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) following a five‑year review. Members discussed whether recent rule changes permit a second DORA district or an expanded footprint and asked staff to follow up with the cited change.
Next steps: items will appear on the June 17 consent and legislation dockets for second readings and committee review as appropriate.
