Raytown board approves consent agenda, election budget and routine items

At its July 15, 2025 meeting, the Raytown Board of Aldermen approved routine business items including the consent agenda and a budget amendment related to a special election scheduled for Aug. 5.
The consent agenda was moved and approved without recorded opposition. A separate resolution amending the FY 2024–25 budget for special-election expenses related to the Aug. 5, 2025 election was moved, seconded and adopted by roll call. City staff also reminded the board there will be no regular meeting on Aug. 5 (election day) and noted additional meetings on Aug. 12 and Aug. 19.
Other routine administrative announcements included a household hazardous-waste mobile collection event in partnership with Kansas City at Ruskin High School, and community-event promotions tied to Raytown's 70th birthday celebrations.
