Raytown approves up-to-$40,000 amendment to Omni Human Resource Solutions agreement

The Board approved a resolution authorizing the City Administrator to amend the professional-services agreement with Omni Human Resource Solutions by up to $40,000 for fiscal year 2024–25.
City Administrator Damon Hodges explained Omni helped with recruitment and served as a stopgap for HR functions during the transition after the previous HR manager’s retirement. Hodges said Omni supported the HR manager search, helped screen about 75 applicants for the HR-manager role and provided interim HR services. Hodges sought spending-authority to continue that stopgap support while the new Human Resources Manager, Dwayne Hoard, begins work.
Alderman Benz moved approval with a second from Alderman Emerson. The roll-call vote recorded several abstentions and passes during the call; staff recorded the motion as carried. Hodges said Omni’s support has been useful and that the city does not expect to spend the full $40,000 but requested the authority as a spending cap.
