Board approves budget amendment to complete demolition at 50 Third Street

The Board of Aldermen on Feb. 4 approved a resolution amending the fiscal year 2024–25 budget to cover remaining costs for demolition of the 50 Third Street property.
Parks Director David Turner told the board the project is about 85% complete and the city expects roughly $200,000 still to be billed to finish demolition. "We have about $200,000 left to be billed for the demolition project with 50 Third Street property," Turner said, adding the work will be included in a 50% reimbursable grant.
A motion to approve the resolution was made and seconded (the transcript records the second as Ms. Hayden). The clerk called roll and recorded unanimous 'yes' votes from members present; the motion carried.
The board did not discuss additional amendments beyond the funds necessary to close out the demolition contract. Staff did not request other capital adjustments in this session.
