"Fenton is, at this point, not viable," Dan said, and aldermen were told final launch decisions could come at the last minute, as they did in the prior year. Council members noted that Josh Schlotler has a standing agreement form with San Luis County Parks that staff will forward to the aldermen and that a future meeting can formalize a recurring authorization.
The vote authorizes staff to accept annual requests under the standing agreement terms once organizers supply required insurance and waivers; aldermen said they expect staff to confirm on-the-day conditions before any launch.
