Hudson council confirms board appointments, approves consent agenda and postpones one infrastructure bid

At the Aug. 19 Hudson City Council meeting the council approved several routine items and confirmed multiple appointments.
Council President Foster nominated George Murray and Linda O'Neil to two full terms on the Park Board (terms through July 2029) and nominated Amy Manko and Andrew Brown to full terms on the Architectural and Historic Board of Review (terms through June 2029). The nominations were seconded and approved by roll call, passing 7–0.
On the consent agenda, council suspended the rules and approved items B through F (resolutions and contracts covering a Brandywine Creek watershed study update, a stormwater easement with the country club, temporary easement acquisitions for a downtown pedestrian-safety project, a tall grass schedule with American Municipal Power, and authorization for broadband rate-setting). Item A (resolution authorizing advertisement and competitive bids for the Hudson Drive waterline extension project, item 25-113) was pulled for separate consideration. Council then voted to postpone item 25-113 to a date certain of Sept. 2, 2025; that postponement passed 7–0.
City Manager Sheridan had asked for additional time on 25-113 to finalize cost estimates.
What happens next: New appointees will begin their terms per the schedule announced; staff will return with more detail on the waterline project for the Sept. 2 meeting.
