Hudson council confirms appointments, approves consent items and advances broadband and park procurement

On June 3, 2025, the Hudson City Council approved three appointments, passed the consent agenda that advanced a fiber-to-the-home procurement, and received updates from city staff about upcoming requests for proposals.
Council President Chris Foster nominated Emily Berry and Richard Warfield to two-year terms on the Board of Tax Review and Keenan Jones to a partial term on the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals through Dec. 31, 2026. The motion was seconded and passed by roll call with one abstention from Councillor Kowalski.
Under the consent agenda the council authorized: an amendment to the regional stormwater management agreement; a storm sewer study professional services contract with GPD Group for Edgeview Drive; designation of Margaret Tussie as alternate delegate to the regional council of governments; and to advertise bids and enter a contract for construction of the first-year fiber-to-the-home project with the lowest responsible bidder. The consent agenda passed by a vote of 6-0.
City Manager Mr. Sheridan reported that two proposals for the Inclusive Park at Oak Grove were received and will be discussed at an upcoming council workshop, and that an RFP for fire and EMS building renovations will be issued at the end of the week with submissions due at the end of June.
The council also moved, seconded and voted to refer a land-development amendment related to boarding kennels and veterinary facilities to the Planning Commission for review (item 25-92).
