Board approves minutes, investment report, personnel schedules and several proclamations

The Winton Woods City School District board approved a series of routine but required governance items during its September meeting.
After calling the roll, trustees unanimously voted to waive the reading of prior minutes and then to approve the minutes as presented. The treasurer's investment report for August (total investments $38.8 million; interest earned $139,710) was accepted following a motion and unanimous vote.
Personnel matters were approved: the board accepted personnel schedules (schedules A–E) and supplemental salary schedule changes effective Aug. 1, 2025. The supplemental additions included a high-school assistant color-guard director position intended to strengthen the middle-school to high-school pipeline and a youth athletics coordinator role to expand preK–6 extracurricular athletics.
The board also approved annual overnight/extended student trips for the Academy of Global Studies (spring 2026) and adopted two proclamations: October 2025 as National Principals Month and Oct. 20'24, 2025 as National School Bus Safety Week, each approved unanimously.
In governance business the board nominated and appointed Kayla Miller to fill a vacant board seat and administered the oath of office. Vice President Angela Knighton was also reappointed as the district's representative to the Great Oaks Career Campus governing board.
All procedural motions recorded in the meeting passed by unanimous votes; no recorded dissent was entered on these items.
