The Winton Woods board received a facilities update and voted to authorize the sale of district-owned real estate at 71 Junefield Avenue.
Jeremy Day, executive director of business affairs, told trustees the central-office parking lot is substantially complete and crews are addressing punch-list items. He reported the planning commission approved a variance for a proposed baseball field; the building permit is in process, fencing materials have been ordered and a tentative scoreboard installation date was corrected to October 6.
Day also said the district completed a title search and appraisal for the Junefield property (historically Beachwoods Elementary/Primary North/Early Childhood Central Campus). He warned that the parcel has a recorded stormwater maintenance plan tied to earlier parking-lot runoff and said a purchaser would need to work with county stormwater officials to resolve that requirement. After a brief procedural exchange clarifying that the board can reject any unsatisfactory proposals, the board moved, seconded and unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the sale as presented.
The board's vote authorizes staff to proceed with the sale process under the title and appraisal terms presented to trustees; the district signaled that further clarifications about stormwater maintenance and easements will be resolved in follow-up work with county offices and counsel.
