Staff and the chair confirmed the commission may amend its bylaws and that the chair must sign the changes.
During discussion commissioners referenced state law that allows up to 15 members and some recent state changes affecting administrative review of site plans; staff said some jurisdictions now handle site‑plan reviews administratively and that changes to state law were intended to streamline review timelines. The commission adopted the bylaws as amended in a subsequent clarifying motion and the chair announced the motion carried unanimously.
The City Clerk/staff will prepare the signed bylaws reflecting the edits for records.
