Manassas Park’s governing body recorded several formal actions during its June 3 meeting as part of routine business.
Route 28 endorsement: Council approved a resolution endorsing VDOT’s Route 28 Centerville Road innovative intersections project and authorized staff to finalize the resolution subject to city-attorney review.
Courthouse fee ordinance: Council approved an ordinance amending city code to increase the courthouse security fee collected by the clerk from $10 to $20, as requested to align with neighboring jurisdictions; the motion carried after voice votes with an opposed voice noted on the record.
Letter of Map Revision / IMEG task order: Council approved staff’s recommendation to enter task order 2025-02 with IMEG for floodplain analysis and a Letter of Map Revision application for the Bull Run Tributary at Manassas Drive.
