Board reviews multi-year facilities priority list, schedules summer projects

Speaker 3 presented a multi-year list and summarized completed items (weight room HVAC, high school library HVAC, greenhouse build, welding trailer, football field work) and planned summer projects (bleacher replacement, gym floor refinishing, sprinkler updates and crow’s nest repairs). Speaker 3 emphasized the list is dynamic and prioritized by safety and system risk.
On HVAC projects such as Gondell and Glendo, Speaker 3 said engineers and the state have favored rooftop units but cautioned that major maintenance fund rules can limit changes that are not strictly "boiler for boiler" replacements. Speaker 3 named a new state contact, Karen Moon, who has helped move planning approvals forward.
Board members expressed interest in minimizing disruption to students and getting high-priority items completed before school begins; the facilities needs list was approved by voice vote.
