A staff speaker explained the suggestion was that the board could review the "new districts only" in the interim and "flush them out or finish them off" before they are placed into the full ordinance. The board agreed to language that allows the work session to begin "as soon thereafter as the board takes it up" following a 3:00 p.m. hearing, to avoid forcing members to sit idle while other items conclude.
Supervisors asked that the first review focus on a small subset of districts to walk through in detail — including technology and rural‑service districts and a possible combined overlay for commercial/industrial uses south of town — and to schedule short sessions (proposed 3:15–3:30 start times) when practical to make progress without delaying other hearings.
