Florissant’s Music Under the Stars returns with new bandshell and four free concerts in August

Florissant’s Music Under the Stars series resumes with a newly constructed permanent bandshell that had its first use earlier this month, Councilman Keith Shieldroth said.
Shieldroth encouraged residents to take advantage of the free summer concert series and listed the remaining dates and performers: Aug. 2 — Rocking Chair Band; Aug. 9 — Butch Wax & the Hollywoods; Aug. 16 — Dr. Shevigas; Aug. 23 — Tailor Made. Concerts run from 6 to 9 p.m. He noted there is ample free parking, food trucks are commonly present, and attendees may bring chairs, coolers and food.
"It's free," Shieldroth said, urging neighbors to attend and enjoy the new bandshell and evening breeze.
