The board took unanimous or majority voice votes on routine agenda items, including approval of recent meeting minutes and supplemental disbursements. Supervisors reappointed members to local boards and commissions (Ford Authority reappointment, planning and appeal body appointments and tabled appointments where noted).
On procurement, the county administrator presented two quotes for maintenance of the 9‑1‑1 uninterruptible power system and recommended a lower‑cost vendor. The board approved entering an agreement with "DC Group" to provide the backup service at roughly $3,000 per year, noting the quote was substantially less than the manufacturer's quote.
The board also handled a set of personnel and committee appointments. A motion to support "Black Lung Benefit Resolution 25‑009" passed after being moved and seconded; the proponent requested a signed copy to be returned for their records.
The administrator also asked the board to authorize repairs to an Avgas pump at the county airport; a replacement pump quote of $4,727.76 was discussed and installation was estimated at $6,500–$7,000. The board directed staff to proceed with repairs necessary to maintain fuel service.
Several planning commission appointments and other items were tabled for follow‑up. The board concluded by voting to enter closed session under Virginia Code for personnel and investment of public funds.
