Board authorizes transfer of countywide reassessment contract to Vision Government Solutions

King George County officials approved an assignment of the countywide reassessment contract on Aug. 5 after staff explained Wampler Eanes had been acquired by Vision (Envision) and the company requested permission to transfer billing and performance responsibilities.
Regina Puckett, the Commissioner of the Revenue, said Vision had acquired Wampler Eanes and that the contract terms would remain unchanged; company principal Steve Wampler told the board the same staff would continue the reassessment work. Supervisors asked whether the contract’s no-assignment clause required board approval; counsel recommended using an assignment form approved by the county attorney to preserve the county’s contractual rights and obligations.
The board moved to authorize assignment in a form approved by the county attorney and approved the motion by roll call.
