KING GEORGE, Va. — A summary of formal actions taken by the King George County Service Authority Board of Directors and Board of Supervisors at the meeting (roll-call tallies are as recorded in open session):
• Service Authority FY25–26 operating budget — Approved. Motion to adopt the operating budget presented by finance; roll-call approvals recorded. Total revenues presented: $9,681,000; key line items included Water $1,780,113; Sewer $4,989,779; Debt Service $2,235,989.
• Appropriation resolution for FY25–26 operating budget — Approved. Separate motion to appropriate funds to allow expenditure of the adopted budget; passed by roll call.
• Emergency wastewater cleanup (Dahlgren plant) — Authorized (emergency service agreement). Staff described an emergency engagement with a specialized robotic remediation vendor (anticipating roughly 20 days of work) at an estimated cost of about $101,000 to remove rags and debris affecting plant performance. Purchase order reported as executed to secure vendor scheduling.
• Temporary potable-water deliveries — Authorized. Service Authority board approved staff exploring and procuring tanker or potable delivery services to supply affected customers, with an initial not-to-exceed figure of $150,000 subject to staff reporting procurement options.

• Middle School turn lane (Phase 2) VDOT revenue-sharing resolution — Deferred. Board members raised concerns over rising costs and requested staff research VDOT commitments; resolution deferred to the next meeting for further review.
• Rent Fund kayak kiosk purchase — Approved (subject to county attorney contract review). Motion to issue a Notice of Award to Rent Fund LLC for an 8-unit unmanned kayak rental kiosk for $35,000 and to transfer $35,000 from the Recreation Activity Fund passed with one dissenting vote. Contract execution contingent on county attorney approval of terms.
