Sheridan County treasurer schedules annual tax sale Friday; roughly 100 parcels listed

Katie Harris, Sheridan County Treasurer, told commissioners on Aug. 11 that the county’s annual tax sale is scheduled for this Friday at the fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, with registration at 8 a.m. and the sale beginning at 9 a.m.
Harris said the office has statutorily advertised the sale for three weeks, has been contacting taxpayers up to the sale date to encourage payment, and will continue to accept payments through Wednesday to finalize the list. She estimated there are “around 100” parcels currently listed — up from a typical 70–80 in prior years — and confirmed an online list and property details are available on the county website.
Commissioners asked about online access and Harris said documents and property descriptions are posted on the treasurer’s page of the county website; she thanked staff for their work and asked for support to ensure the event runs smoothly.
