Resident calls for RFP after finding Sheridan County audit fees higher than peers

She said one auditing firm with a local office also performs county audits and offered written comparisons to the board.
Lowenspery asked the board to consider an RFP for the FY2026 audit; she said it was likely too late to change the FY2025 engagement, which she understood had been signed. The board acknowledged her comments and took copies of her materials.
No staff response or commitment to a timetable for an RFP was recorded in the meeting minutes.
