Assessor Paul Veil flagged a property tax deferral program that has not been used for several years and proposed re-sending the program for consideration; staff will place the item on next Monday's staff meeting and the subsequent Tuesday board meeting for formal action if commissioners choose to proceed.
County staff also reported preliminary interest from the City of Sheridan in quarterly joint work sessions to strengthen communication; officials noted that if three commissioners attend a work session it becomes an official meeting subject to open-meeting rules, but the stated intent is information-sharing rather than action.
Commissioners asked staff to circulate dates when available and to film one session for those who cannot attend in person.
