COLUMBUS — Before the second hearing on Senate Bill 103, the Senate Public Utilities Committee ordered an amendment to Senate Bill 116 and approved a governor’s appointment by roll call.
Vice Chair Reineke moved to amend SB116 with a sub-bill that reduces the proposed cut in the taxable percentage of pipeline company tangible personal property from 88% to 25% and limits the reduction to TPP placed into service after the tax year in which the bill takes effect. Chair Wilkin said the amendment was ordered and, with no objections, the sub-bill became the committee’s working document; the sub-bill was to be posted on the committee website later the same day.
On a separate item, the committee considered a governor’s appointment (identified in the hearing transcript as Mr. Friedman). Vice Chair Reineke moved to approve the appointment and send it to the committee on rules and reference; the clerk recorded a roll call and the motion passed 11–0. The chair reminded members to sign the roll-call sheet before leaving.
