Commission re-elects leadership, approves consent calendar and hears council updates

Chairperson Carolyn Thomas was re‑elected to remain chair for another one‑year term and Vice Chairperson Nunnery was re‑elected to continue as vice chair. The commission approved the consent calendar, which included a stormwater best‑management practice maintenance agreement for the Villages at Post Farms, the Half Road Phase 2 project, intersection improvements involving Tom Ginevra and North Cool Springs, and several land acquisitions for park projects including Greenway Sports Park to Bluebird Meadow Park.
Staff reported four recent items forwarded to City Council were approved: Caledonia Flats (a mixed‑use apartment complex), a hotel at 1155 Technology Drive, the Metalwood senior housing phase, and an update to the zoning code. Staff also provided an informational update on an ongoing thoroughfare plan review that will return for public hearing and adoption in the coming months.
Mayor Hennessy used the meeting to thank outgoing commission member Oliver Wexler for his service and to congratulate Councilwoman Cook on her reelection and her service to the commission. With no further business the commission adjourned.
