The O'Fallon Historic Preservation Commission approved its meeting agenda and the minutes from April 1, 2025, by voice vote during its May 6 meeting. Commissioner Goings moved to approve the agenda and Commissioner Amos seconded; Commissioner Hunt moved to approve the minutes and Commissioner Amos seconded; both motions passed after an 'Aye' vote was recorded.
Amy reported the commission submitted a state grant application (filed April 25) to fund educational brochures; required documentation included a signed endorsement letter and a council resolution of support. Staff expects a response in the next few months.
Commissioners also discussed Goodwood and related properties. Amy said the city council approved an ordinance at the April 24 council meeting for Westhoff Green and Mercantile next to Goodwood. The neighboring manager told staff that a plaque presentation and a public event are planned and commissioners will be invited; staff will circulate date details when available.
