The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended the City Council approve a conditional use permit to allow sale and service of alcoholic beverages by the drink at Secret Restaurant, proposed for 4551 Highway K in the former Katara/Hibachi building.
Business developer Lido Galviro of Gordon Food Services presented the project and characterized it as a Japanese‑fusion concept intended to bring "bold Asian flavors" and an experiential dining option to O'Fallon. Galviro said operations and supply will be supported by Gordon Food Services, which provides equipment, training and menu assistance.
Commissioner Baus recused himself from discussion and vote because he is a customer of Gordon Foods and noted that recusal on the record. Commissioners moved to approve staff recommendations; the motion carried and the item will be forwarded to City Council.
No public comment cards were submitted for the item, and the transcript did not record a vote tally.
