Selection for external audit services moves forward; four firms shortlisted

Audit staff and procurement representatives updated the committee on the request for proposals for external independent auditing services. Committee members were told several firms responded; after procurement vetting, four firms qualified to proceed: CBIZ, Cherry Beckert, Forvis and incumbent RSM. Procurement and audit staff said the selection timeline remains on schedule with a selection committee meeting set for September 30 and training sessions for committee members scheduled in advance; training will be recorded for members who cannot attend in person.
Procurement staff also agreed to make materials available to committee members prior to the selection meeting and to accommodate scheduling concerns raised by members (including religious-holiday conflicts for the September 23 training session).
