Tim Kubrick, the district’s chief of human resources, presented proposed revisions to Policy 3.85 governing substitute teachers, teachers of adult education and non‑degreed career staff. The changes would clarify minimum requirements and state that compensation and qualification details for substitute teachers will be posted on the district website so adjustments in pay rates or qualifications need not return to the board for each technical change.
Kubrick said the revision does not alter requirements for teachers of adult education or non‑degreed career technical instructors. Staff plans to bring the proposal back for development on Sept. 10 and for adoption on Nov. 5.
