Citrus board approves multiple personnel appointments and vendor amendments

Vendor contracts and instructional programs: The board approved a second amendment to the Edmentum (Study Island) agreement for K'8 science support (costs per school/population-based). It also approved the first amendment to the iWalk Observation LLC agreement (a walkthrough/observation tool for administrators) and a second amendment with Explore Learning LLC for Reflex and Frax math tools. Finally, the board approved the district's 2025'26 Comprehensive Evidence-Based Reading Plan (SERP) funded from state reading-plan dollars; staff said roughly $1 million in state reading funds were allocated to reading coaches and instructional materials.
All personnel and vendor votes were recorded by voice vote and passed. Board members and staff noted the programs are intended to fill instructional gaps (e.g., science content not in iReady) and to support literacy and formative observation practices.
No financial line-item details for each vendor amendment were read into the public record during the motions; staff indicated some costs are per-school and population-based and that the SERP funds salaries for literacy coaches and materials.
