The HR presenter outlined current staffing: 11 guardians now, 12 expected in August, and 20 school resource officers (SROs) with three sergeants; staff also described developing a point‑based matrix to standardize when to assign guardians versus SROs for events.
Mister Dodd moved to approve the amended job description; Mister Kennedy seconded; the motion passed by voice vote. Board members asked for clear guidelines for principals on how to request additional safety coverage and for the HR office to coordinate with the SRO team on the matrix and invoicing protocol.
The amendment carries fiscal implications limited to the $2,500 supplement per lead guardian and relies on existing position control for guardians.
