At its Oct. 20 meeting, the Steamboat Springs School Board voted unanimously to adopt a revised version of board policy GP 7, governing committee structure.
Board president Katie Lee introduced the second reading of GP 7 and asked for a motion to adopt the revised policy as presented. Board member Leah moved to adopt and Kevin seconded. Leah noted a minor wording issue in bullet 6 (a typographical/wording inconsistency), and the board agreed the correction could be handled administratively and proceeded to a roll-call vote.
Deb Genesta called the vote; Kevin, Laura, Leah and Katie each recorded 'aye.' The motion passed and the revised GP 7 committee-structure policy was adopted. The board did not record further amendments to the substance of the policy during the meeting.
The adoption was taken as a formal action of the board; members discussed no substantive changes to committee functions during the recorded discussion. Any administrative corrections noted in the meeting were not formalized as separate amendments.
