The Saint Louis County Council concluded a series of final-passage votes at its Aug. 19 meeting, approving multiple ordinances and adopting two resolutions.
Bills finally passed (as announced by the chair) included bill numbers 167, 176, 177, 178, 179, 180 and 181. On each recorded roll call the chair reported six ayes and one absent. For example, during the roll call on bill 167 the clerk recorded aye votes by Council members Hancock, Days, Harder, Archer, Webb and Bangert and reported one absent; the chair declared bill 167 finally passed.
The council also adopted Resolution 1 (declaring Sept. 6, 2025, Saint Louis Ataxia Awareness Day) earlier in the meeting and later adopted Resolution 2 following a roll call that likewise recorded six ayes and one absent.
Several introduced bills and substitutes were held for later consideration (including Bill 15, 41, 116 and procurement-code revisions). Where a bill was held, the clerk recorded the hold motion and the item will return to a committee or future meeting for further action.
What this means: The adopted ordinances move into whatever administrative or implementation steps the specific measures require; items held remain pending committee review.
