The proposed policy would set two ports for village fleet vehicles and two ports open to the public, a four‑hour maximum for public stalls, and no overnight parking between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Staff said the charging hardware supports user accounts, phone tap or credit‑card activation and can cap charging sessions; enforcement of parking limits would be handled by staff or police if necessary.
Trustees generally supported the approach but asked staff to return with enforcement details, accessibility checks for relocated handicap stalls and possible future expansion. The board approved the underlying zoning ordinance by roll call.
